Common Objections to Christianity

There are many objections to Christianity, some big like God is not real to some not so big like, well just about all of the are big but im going to disprove some of the biggest, I just want to let you know that all the material i will use i either got from reading or making connections after reading. well lets get started.

1. God is not real
One way to counter this is be taking what atheists and agnostics say and disprove them. Well lets see, atheist whether they admit or not they need to have complete knowledge of everything otherwise how can they be 100% sure God does not exist. Since no one here on earth knows everything how can anyone say God is not real? since they dont have complete knowledge why should i believe them? there is always that possibility that they are wrong. Atheism is an attempt to make humans into gods. This is the best example I know of Irony, in their denial of God the replace this all-knowing God with the cheapest imitation, themselves. Atheist are some of the smartest dumb people i know. Agnostics arent much different, the only difference is that they say that God could exist, there is that chance. They say you cant know for sure if God exists or not. But really think about it if we cant know for sure then why did he leave his mark in his creation? If he didnt want us to know about him then we all would be atheists, so agnostics are admitting they know something, and they admit that he cant be known. They are basically saying one thing i know about God is that you cant know anything about him. Talk about being double-minded. Then when they respond to you after you say that, well okay God exist but thats all you can know about him. Woah hold on, you know something more than him existing, so you know 2 things about him, one he exist and that you cant know anything else about him. Agnostics are full of contradictions. Another thing are these 3 facts, Every effect has a cause, every creation has a creator, every design has a designer. Just look at the world, the once thought simple cell is not simple, the more people look into origin of life the more they see that it is impossible that all this came about by random chance.

2. Creation is a myth
I could go so many different directions with this one. But really If you use real logical thought then evolution is a waste of your time. “if the solr system was brought about by an accidental collision, then the appearance of organic life on this planet was also an accident, and the whole evolution of man was an accident too. If so then all our thought processes are mere accidents- the accidental by-product of the movement of atoms. And this holds for the materialists’ and astronomers’ as well as for anyone else’s. But if their thoughs – i.e., of materialism and Astronomy – are merely accidental by-products, why should we believe them to be true? I see no reason for believing that one accident should be able to give a correct account of all the other accidents.” -C.S Lewis
Also if you just look at the complexity of things here on this earth, ask yourself is it possible that it evolved by chance.

3. The Bible Is not completely authentic
Many people ask how do I know the bible is true? Well here is one fact, the bible has better manuscripts credentials than those of any other ancient literature or written work. Another things is for all ancient documents biblical and secular there is a time gap between the actual event and the time the manuscript is dated to. for example there is a 1,450 year gap between the life of Aristotle and the first known document of his teachings. we dont know that information about th books of the bible, well the old testament at least. There were many skeptics til 1947 then the number went down because in 1947 the dead sea scrolls were found, they closed the 1,300 year gap between 200 B.C when the Jews translated the old testament from hebrew to Greek to the oldest copy (till 1947) of old testament from 900 A.D. In the dead sea scrolls they found documentation of the old testament dating from 150 b.c to 70 a.d , when the dead sea scrolls were compared to the previously oldest known documents scientist were amazed and shocked that there was not one disagreement between them despite thousands of years between them. They documents in the dead sea scrolls and other not as old documents from the old testament were the same down to punctuation marks. Now with the new testament of the bible well the number of documents that back it up and support it is overwhelming. More than 24,000 discovered documents back up the new testament. you may say well what about the time gap between Jesus life and the writings, well its a mere 10 to 50 years, compare this to the smallest gap of 500 years between Homer and his book the Iliad with that information lets check out all the historical proof of the bible’s authenticity, the city of Jericho was found were that bible locates it, same with the city of Nineveh, Ur, Babylon, Meggido, the tomb of Joseph well you get the point and those are just from the old testament.

4. The Bible is Not Accurate
It Is a common assumption that the bible has errors, but when asked what errors one may be talking about they cant come up with any. to quote the Alex McFlarland “Antiquity does not automatically imply error. The age of the bible and is content are two completely different things.” The bible can be complicated and may take a few second looks to understand it and some passages may take years of study to fully understand it, but none the less you can not find one verifiable, proven error in the bible. Even though the New Testament was not officially decided upon till A.D. 327 by the Council of Nicea the early church already acknowledged the same 27 books that are in the new testament today. John wrote the last book (Revelation) in A.D. 95, by around A.D. 150 Tatian had already written a commentary for the early church-the Diatessaron, in which he translated the four gospels. And the Syriac version and the Latin translation were around more than 125 years before the Council of Nicea. The Christian leaders didnt defend it to get power or anything like that, they defended it because they were certain that its true. Even some believers will say something like this “The bible means a lot of things to lots of different people; therefore you can twist the bible to mean anything you want it to. After all, whats true for you may not be true for me” Some people make it into a make up your own version of Christianity, but God is truth so his word is truth, the context of the bible is not up for negotiation. lets see what the bible says about itself, it says that it is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16) that it endures forever (Psalm 119:160 and 1 Peter 1:25) That it cannot be broken (John 10:35). Now one may say that the writers were just plain out crazy, “And if this[the bible], the greatest and most influential book of the ages, containing the most beautiful literature and the most perfect moral code ever devised, was written by deceiving fanatics, then what hope is there for ever finding meaning and purpose in this world?” (McFarland 103). With already proving that the bible is authentic there is tons of proof inside this authentic ancient book. you can find the phrases “Thus saith the Lord” or “The word of the Lord came to me saying…” over 600 times. And over 3000 references in the bible that it is the word of God. You may say not just because the bible claims that its the word of God doesn’t mean it is. well all the other claims in the bible can be proven, so what would make you think that this claim isnt true? I find it would take a bigger leap of faith not to believe it than it would to believe it.
